A Rivaliga is
your prediction group.
A Rivaliga is a mini-tournament you create or join inside Rivala. You and the people you invite predict the same matches; whoever predicts best wins the ranking. It's free, takes a minute to set up, and there's no money involved — only points and bragging rights.
What it is.
A private or public league where a group of people predict the same set of matches and compete on points.
How you play.
For each match, pick the exact score. Get 3 points if you nail it, 1 if you only get the winner right, 0 otherwise.
Who can join.
Private Rivaligas use an invite code you share with friends. Public ones appear in the discovery feed for anyone to find.
When it locks.
Once the first match of the Rivaliga kicks off, no new members can join — the lineup is frozen so it's fair for everyone.
What you win.
A spot on the leaderboard and the right to brag. Official Rivala competitions also award Coins; user-created ones don't — ranking only.
What exactly is a Rivaliga?
A Rivaliga is a prediction group built around a set of football matches — a tournament, a competition, or a custom selection you create. Everyone in the group predicts the same fixtures, and at the end the highest score wins.
There are two kinds. Official Rivaligas are run by Rivala (for example, around big tournaments) and can hand out Coins or badges. Community Rivaligas are created by users and pay only in ranking — they never mint Coins, to protect the in-product economy.
How to create one
Tap Create Rivaliga from the Rivaligas tab, give it a name, choose the matches or competition, and decide whether it's private (invite-only) or public (anyone can find it in the discovery feed). Creation is free.
- Free accounts can have up to 25 active Rivaligas at the same time.
- Rivala Pro creators get a 10× visibility boost in the public discovery feed.
- You can rename, transfer ownership, or delete a Rivaliga from its settings — until the first match kicks off.
How friends join
For private Rivaligas, share the invite code generated when you create it. Anyone with the code joins straight in — until the first match starts, after which the code stops working.
For public Rivaligas, your group appears in the discovery feed. People browsing Rivaligas can join with one tap, again until the kickoff lock.
How points work
Scoring is the same as the rest of Rivala. Per match:
- 3 points · you predicted the exact score (e.g. 2–1 and the match ended 2–1).
- 1 point · you got the winner right but missed the score (you said 2–1, it ended 3–0).
- 0 points · wrong winner or a draw you missed.
Your predictions stay secret
Other members can't see your picks until the match kicks off. This stops copying and keeps the fun. Once the ball rolls, everyone's predictions become visible inside the Rivaliga.
Leaderboard and prizes
Each Rivaliga has its own leaderboard, updated live as matches finish. There is no cash, no betting, no entry fee. The product is free to play and the prize is the ranking.
A handful of official Rivala Rivaligas mint Coins for the top finishers — Coins are the in-app currency you can spend on cosmetics, AI analysis and boosts. They are never converted to real money.
What it costs
Nothing. Creating, joining and playing Rivaligas is free forever. Rivala Pro is an optional one-time purchase that adds unlimited Rivaligas, custom scoring rules and a 10× boost in public discovery — but every core feature works without it.
